A vegetarian who started a meat company. What? Yes.
Stephen McDonnell was a vegetarian who missed eating meat but couldn't find anything that was humanely raised nor made with harmful ingredients. So he created his own company. Applegate farms only sells products free of harmful ingredients using only humanely raised animals.
So What if you weren’t afraid to read the ingredients on a hot dog package? Or better yet, what if you weren’t afraid to know where the meat in your sandwich came from? These questions were the inspiration behind Applegate's Mooscles campaign and helped Stephen sell his company for close to a Billion dollars.
